Top Prospect

Top Prospect

He was the boy who didn’t make it

Only because of the drugs used by the wicked

They aren’t recreational

They are mostly used by professionals

Why didn’t you make it top prospect?

He was drafted into MLB

To the team who couldn’t be beat

But only because the drugs they took

Just to keep the streak

Still he is the boy who didn’t make it

Just because of the vile drug

And only to make money

Which is power over all

They shatter bats with ease

Yet another home run for the team that can’t be beat

The left fielder goes down with a cry

Could this be his time to shine?

Crack! First at bat

Home run

The crowd goes wild

One big one for big 12

The postseason comes around

And top prospect got sent back down

It was the vile drugs that kept him there

Top prospect didn’t know what to do

The bottle whispers

“Take me to join the team that can’t be beat”

The bottle is everywhere he goes

It keeps the streak alive

Still whispering

“I am the answer you need”

Top prospect got traded far, far away

But he didn’t know for whom or to where

To Philadelphia maybe

He’d be better off there

He was traded for a minor league pitcher

And was finally called up in September

Just in time

For the playoff berth to remember

He started in right field

With Dom Brown and Ben Revere

Next thing you know

They were the team who can’t be beat

All without the PEDs

The Philadelphia Phillies became the team to beat

All with the help of top prospect

Who played the game nice and clean
